Job summary

BSI is seeking a Regional Employee Relations Lead - APAC to oversee ER across markets including China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea and Australia. Hybrid, permanent role based in APAC, reporting to Global Head of Employee Relations.

You will guide in-country ER specialists, navigate complex employment law, support organisational change, and drive consistent case management and governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an Employee Relations specialist or leader within an international organisation.
• Deep understanding of employment law and ER practices across Asia Pacific.
• Experience handling complex, high-risk ER matters, including investigations and restructures.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and provide clear, authoritative ER guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead ER activity across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring complex and high-risk cases are managed consistently.
• Provide specialist advice on investigations, performance, conduct, grievances and dismissals.
• Advise on organisational change, restructuring, mergers and divestments.
• Develop regional ER processes, governance, documentation and case management standards.
• Lead in-country ER Specialists across China, India and Japan and guide regional teams.
• Translate employment law developments into practical guidance for leaders and People teams.
• Analyse ER data to identify trends and opportunities for sustainable improvement.
• Collaborate with Centres of Excellence to implement global People initiatives across APAC.
• Explore process improvements using data and AI-enabled tools.
