Job summary

Alta Ares is seeking a Defence Sales Manager APAC based in Singapore to own commercial development across Asia-Pacific. You will build the pipeline from scratch in Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and SE Asia, positioning Alta Ares as the AI-enabled defence partner of choice for APAC armed forces and their industrial ecosystems.

You will report to Paris leadership and operate with autonomy, shaping opportunities across ISR, C-UAS, and AI programmes, while navigating diverse

Qualifications

4–7 years in defence sales, BD, or programme management with APAC exposure.
Proven track record closing contracts with APAC military or government clients.
Experience with defence primes/neoprimes operating in APAC (e.g., Thales, Airbus, BAE).
Ability to manage a multi-country APAC sales territory with varied procurement cultures.

Responsibilities

Own and drive the full APAC sales pipeline across priority markets (Japan, Korea, Australia, NZ, Singapore, SE Asia).
Lead qualification, opportunity shaping, proposals, and contract negotiations for ISR, C-UAS, autonomy and AI programmes.
Identify procurement vehicles and convert demos and pilots into long-term contracts.
Represent Alta Ares at regional defence events and build senior-level relationships.
