Job summary

SEA.AI is seeking a Sales Manager - Defence & Commercial to expand our presence in the defence sector across Asia, based in Singapore. You will lead regional sales campaigns, manage key accounts and drive new business with navies, coast guards, and shipping operators, translating complex maritime needs into tailored solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in maritime or defence sales, deep OT knowledge, a strong network across Asia and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sales Manager in the maritime or defence industry (5-10 years).
• Strong technical knowledge of maritime operational technology.
• Experience selling into defence/government and commercial shipping organisations.
• Strong network in the naval and defence community across Asia.
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills; knowledge of Challenger Sales methodology would be an asset.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Asia and occasionally internationally.
• Fluency in English; additional regional languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major defence clients, including navies, coast guards, defence agencies, shipyards, integrators and USV manufacturers and commercial shipping companies
• Drive direct and indirect sales in the region in line with our company strategy and regional targets
• Work in other maritime segments as required (recreational)
• Gain deep understanding of regional maritime security / defence / commercial shipping needs
• Expand and support our partners and dealer network across Asia
• Connect regional clients with internal teams
• Play a strategic role in securing tenders and government contracts, and converting new sales into long-term partnerships
• Deliver regional sales reporting and forecasting, using key account and performance metrics tailored to the territory
• Represent SEA.AI at regional and international industry events
