About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Operation Officer/Executive - Airfreight (Export) to join our dynamic team at Geodis Singapore Pte. Ltd. This full-time role is based in the East Region and will play a crucial in our Import/Export & Customs operations.

WORKING HOURS:

• 5.5 Days work week

• Working Hours: 1800PM - 0300AM (Mon - Fri), 1500PM - 1900PM (Saturdays)

WORK LOCATION:

70 Alps Avenue

KEY ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible to the Operation Manager, your duties will include but not necessarily be limited to:

• Provide support to arrange freight services for customers, aligned with customer’s freight management needs in line with (CS)SOP.

• Ensure GW policy, customs procedures are being complied.

• Ensure booking accepted by airline based on committed transit time with workable sell rate.

• Ensure client’s requirements are communicated with operations team promptly.

• Effectively communicate with overseas offices/agents/Carriers to meet customer expectation.

• Ensure timely update and communication on shipment status to customer.

• Proactively following up on the uplifting of shipments and service recovery in the event of offloading or delay.

• Provide excellent accessibility and resolutions to customers to maximize business revenue and opportunity.

• Ensure correct buy cost and sold rate are communicated with operations team.

• Identify and act on selling opportunities to new / existing customers to retain revenue.

• Billing on time for ex work shipment and customer invoicing.

• Identify potential process gap and areas for improvement.

What we're looking for

• At least 1 - 5 years experiences in air import & export operations in the airfreight industry.

• Basic Airfreight Knowledge will be an added advantage

• Cargowise knowledge will be an added advantage

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset

• Proficiency in using relevant logistics software and IT systems

• Good command of English, both written and verbal
