Job summary

APEX Logistics International (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Air Cargo Operations Specialist to optimize aircraft cargo allocation and ensure weight and balance compliance.

You will coordinate loading/unloading, manage operations for wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 747, handle special cargo, and work with ground handlers, airlines, and warehouse teams to maintain safety, accuracy, and service quality in a fast-paced environment including shifts and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in air freight or cargo operations.
• Strong knowledge of air cargo processes and load planning.
• Experience with Boeing 747 freighter operations.
• Familiarity with dangerous goods and temperature-controlled cargo.
• Ability to coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, and warehouses.
• Proven ability to handle operational disruptions and inquiries.
• Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize aircraft cargo allocation, ensuring weight and balance compliance.
• Coordinate cargo loading, unloading, and aircraft turnaround activities.
• Manage cargo operations for Boeing 747 freighter aircraft.
• Handle special cargo, including oversized, urgent, temperature-controlled, dangerous goods, and high-value shipments.
• Monitor cargo acceptance, build-up, loading, and shipment tracking processes.
• Coordinate with ground handlers such as SATS and Dnata, warehouse teams, airlines, and flight operations.
• Resolve cargo discrepancies, offloaded shipments, tracking issues, and customer inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with airline, airport, safety, and international aviation regulations.
• Support operational disruptions and maintain service reliability and delivery commitments.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including shifts, extended hours, weekends, and public holidays.
• Maintain high standards of safety, operational accuracy, and customer service.
  

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in air freight, cargo operations, or airline cargo handling.
• Strong working knowledge of air cargo processes, including cargo acceptance, load planning, aircraft loading, shipment tracking, and irregular cargo handling.
• Established working relationships and effective communication with major ground handling agents such as SATS and Dnata.
• Experience handling cargo operations for wide-body aircraft, preferably Boeing 747 freighter operations.
• Familiarity with handling special cargo, including oversized, temperature-controlled, dangerous goods, and high-value shipments.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with airlines, ground handlers, warehouse teams, and operational stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage operational disruptions and customer inquiries.
• Willingness to work extended hours, shifts, weekends, and public holidayswhen required to support operational demands.
• Able to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and service quality.
