Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with vendors, carriers and co-loaders to provide competitive shipping solutions.
• Lead inspections of cargo and enforce safety procedures.

• Manage client relationships and resolve inquiries to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Monitor airfreight costs and seek best rates through carrier negotiations.

About the role

Oversee the daily operations of airfreight services, ensuring timely and accurate processing of air cargo shipments. Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and ground handling agents to secure space, negotiate rates, and ensure smooth transit.

Key responsibilities

• Notify customer on cargo arrival, declaration of custom permit and notify transporter for delivery
• Follow standard and established compliance-related administrative activities
• Evaluate customer needs to improve freight operations processes
• Maintain relationships with vendors, carriers and co-loaders to provide competitive shipping solutions to customers
• Lead inspection of cargo or material-handling security procedures
• Negotiate contract rates and manage relationships with airlines and service providers to optimize service levels
• Manage client relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Monitor and control airfreight costs, negotiate with carriers and service providers to obtain the best rates
• Work closely with other departments such as sales, customer service, and logistics to ensure a cohesive approach to airfreight operations
• Commit to and adhere to the HPL Occupational Health & Safety Management System

About you

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years' experience in airfreight operations or a similar role within the logistics industry
• Strong knowledge of air cargo operations, regulations, and industry best practices
