We’re seeking Research Scientists ready to use their skills in system design and modeling and with a knowledge of a wide variety of components and technologies. These roles will require research and problem-solving skills, as well as fabrication and prototyping to design, develop, and construct novel prototypes and architectures. These roles will work in a focused incubation team and collaborate with a large and wide-ranging set of scientists and engineers in the greater organization.

Responsibilities

• Design algorithms, methods and tools to analyze and leverage rich multimodal data sets for large scale recommendation systems
• Design experiments to assess model performance
• Help transition algorithms and metrics from research into production
• Code effectively and efficiently in an industrial-grade codebase
• Work with cross functional teams to build end to end products that have an outsized impact

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in Python, PyTorch, Deep Learning Models

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, trade offs, and varied points of view to determine a path forward
• Demonstrated experience in building large scale recommendation systems
• Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment
• Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as RecSys, CVPR, ICCV/ECCV, ICLR, ICML or NEURIPS
