Job description

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant / Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting functions and support financial operations within our construction business. The role involves handling accounts, project-related costings, audit and tax support, and general administrative assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Prepare, check, and verify invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile accounts with the general ledger
  • Handle general accounting and payment-related queries
  • Follow up with clients on invoices that are past due
  • Assist with project-related costings and ad-hoc costing requests
  • Support month-end closing and basic financial reporting
  • Handle taxation-related duties, including GST matters
  • Liaise with auditors (subsidiary in India and parent Co. in Singapore) and assist during audit periods
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records
  • Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
Requirements & Preferred Skills
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
