Halogen aims to inspire and influence a generation of young people to lead themselves and others well, and we take that mission seriously with our staff as well. Being a youth development organisation, we work with the youthful vibrancy of our stakeholders and students, ensuring that while we do the social good of building young leaders and entrepreneurs, we also do the personal good of building a staff team that is enabled to do their best work. As an Academy Executive, you will play an important role in partnering multiple stakeholders, both local and in the ASEAN region to drive our youth programmes. You will be in charge of managing the partners who engage with us, and work closely with stakeholders to find opportunities to collaborate.

Responsibilities
  • Coordination and stakeholder management with partners, building a smooth working relationship, and establishing effective communications with partners.
  • Manage our youth accelerator programme, including doing market research, building pipeline and developing infrastructure for the programme.
  • Lead organising and executing Halogen programmes and events.
  • Develop a growth strategy for our programmes locally and in ASEAN, through identifying new opportunities and understanding needs of our potential partners.
  • Manage partnerships directly with corporates, social impact organisations, and educational institutions to ensure successful implementation of programmes.
  • Support outreach efforts to widen our net of partners to expand Halogen’s scope of work.
A typical week at work involves
  • Working with a range partners from corporates, to social impact organisations and institutions, managing conversations, and finding avenues to align objectives of our partners to Halogen’s long term growth plan.
  • Leading on key events and programmes organised by Halogen.
  • Working alongside youths and stakeholders to ensure the successful design of our youth accelerator programme.
  • Team meetings that cover programme planning, outreach to stakeholders, and managing progress of partnerships.
  • Work alongside the Fundraising department to secure funds and resources for programmes.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience managing partnerships, events and programmes. Experiences working on programmes regionally in ASEAN would be considered favourably.
  • Passionate in youth development and our agency as people who can build a future for Singapore and the region, putting people above all else.
  • Energetic and dynamic, able to engage diverse stakeholders both locally and regionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coordination, and communication skills that can adapt across different types and levels of stakeholders.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a good understanding of managing professional relationships.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced working and learning environment. • Strategic and data-driven in decision-making.

What You’ll Achieve

By the end of your first month,

You would have a working understanding of the ins-and-outs of the charity organisation, social service sector, and how our programmes plays a key role in Halogen.

You would have built a healthy working relationship with your team and built an understanding of each other’s working styles.

You would have a clear view on what you would like to achieve for the organisation in the short- and long-term.

By the end of your sixth month

  • You would have contributed significantly and proven to be a valued member of the team.
  • You would have built strong relationships with local and overseas stakeholders, and become the bridge for the Halogen team to these stakeholders.
  • You would be the first port-of-call for all things related to your accounts and programmes.

By the end of your first year,

  • You would hold an expert understanding on our accelerator and international programmes, and how we can continue to push the envelope in expanding our outreach.
  • You would be able to lead discussions effectively, working alongside the Accelerator and Events team to conceptualise effective youth development programmes for partners you are in conversations with.
  • You would have helped the organisation grow our accelerator offerings, and our work around ASEAN.
