Job description

Position: Electrical Power Engineer

Salary: $3,500 to $3,800 + AWS + VB

Working Days: 5 days (based on project); OT Paid

Working Location: Joo Koon (Transport is provided from 6 MRT pickup points: Paya Lebar, Serangoon NEX, Bishan, Jurong East, Joon Koon, Woodlands)

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree Graduate of Electrical Engineering
• Preferably with relevant experience in electrical engineering environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To attend site survey/meetings/discussions with client/contractors/sub-contractors on related matters together with the LEW (when required). Providing feasible solutions and coordinate with owners/users, consultants, vendors/contractors on engineering functional requirements and ensure the objectives are achieved.
• Ability to prepare report and method statement whenever necessary. Perform all electrical works in adherence to EMA regulations and guidelines with the LEW supervision.
• Assisting the PE/LEW to carry out regular site inspections on LT and HT installations to ensure that all maintenance programmes are implemented effectively in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines.
• Standby and partnering with LEW in attending to emergency call up services at customer installations. Investigate and determine the root cause of the faults and report (where applicable).
• Able to interpret basic schematics and SLD diagrams. Required to take on a Specialist Equipment role, may be sent to receive specialised training and subsequently providing training to internal staff.
• Plan and execution of corrective or preventive maintenance programme. Participate in and support Annual Shutdown exercises as and when required. Ensure proper housekeeping of spare parts, equipment and tools.
• Assist the LEW in Test and commissioning of electrical system. Provide excellent service to meet client expectations. Ensure all works carried out safely and/or in accordance with safety procedures.
