Job summary

A local primary school in Singapore is seeking a Science Laboratory Technician. The successful candidate will maintain the cleanliness of laboratories, prepare teaching resources, and manage inventory. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a primary school setting and a minimum of GCE 'O' levels or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general cleanliness and upkeep of the science laboratories.
  • Prepare teaching resources in collaboration with teachers.

Name of Authority: Punggol View Primary School

Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026.

Option to Extend: 1 year

Working Hour:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 30 min lunch break

• Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 30 min lunch break

• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Scopes
  • Maintain general cleanliness and upkeep of the science laboratories.
  • Prepare teaching resources (including tools/equipment/materials/apparatus and any learning or training kits) in collaboration with teachers.
  • Manage inventory to maintain sufficient stock and procure new equipment/materials/components when necessary while tracking the budget and resources utilisation in the Science Laboratories
  • Demonstrate competence in use of equipment/machines as well as simple troubleshooting.
  • Conduct specific experiments as per HOD’s instructions.
  • Conduct termly store stock take for scientific equipment/material/apparatus.
  • Track faulty equipment/materials that need to be replaced.
  • Maintain a record of the loaning out of equipment/materials/apparatus to teachers.
  • Update database of science resources which include diagrams and pictures.
  • Any other duties assigned by HOD and school leaders.
Requirements
Work Experience

Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Science Laboratory Technician in a primary school setting.

Qualification

Minimum GCE “O” levels or equivalent.

Able to make use of applications such as Microsoft office, google sheets etc.
