Responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of software and systems used for insurance products and Membership management. The role involves Design, create, executing tests on applications that handle sensitive customer data, Membership, policies and billing. This position requires a strong understanding of both software testing methodologies and the specific processes and regulations of the insurance & membership management domain.
Summary
- Role: Verify the quality of Vitality Membership functions, insurance-related software, which includes applications for policy/membership management, billing, and customer portals/Mobile apps.
- Purpose: Identify software defects and issues early in the development lifecycle to prevent costly errors and protect the company's reputation and customer trust.
- Environment: Testers may work on functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in an agile development environment.
- Collaboration: They collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to understand requirements and track defects to resolution.
Responsibilities
- Test planning: Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans, and test scenarios.
- Test case development: Create and maintain detailed, well-structured test cases and test scripts based on business requirements.
- Test execution: Perform manual / automated testing, including functional, system, and regression testing, to find defects and verify software functionality.
- UAT support: Assist Business Analysts/business users in performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the system meets business needs.
- Defect management: Log, document, and track software defects and issues using a tracking tool, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Reporting: Communicate testing progress, results, and risks to project stakeholders through clear and concise documentation and status reports.

Requirements
- Prior experience in software testing, with a strong preference for experience within the membership system and insurance industry
- Proficiency with test and Incident/Request management tools like Jira, SNOW
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate risks and find root causes of issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
