The main purpose of the Electrician position is to perform all electrical repairs, inspection, and troubleshooting.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot heavy and light equipment electric system, controllers, sensors.
2. Service, repair, and overhaul/replace all electric components e.g., starter motors, alternator, monitors, displays and camera systems on allocated equipment.
3. Perform inspections on equipment allocated for repairs to ensure complete and progressive preventative maintenance and safety standards of equipment.
4. Manage all on-site repairs and maintenance, when and where required.
5. Travel to client’s locations and perform required maintenance activities.
6. Install and repair wiring systems.
7. Diagnose electrical & electronic issues and propose a course of action.
8. Repair and replace faulty wiring or electrical components.
9. Perform inspections on equipment allocated for repairs to ensure complete and progressive preventative maintenance and safety standards of equipment.
10. Perform &/or assist in preventative maintenance on mobile cranes and aerial work platforms.
11. Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.
12. Ensure the cleanliness of cranes workshop and work area.
13. Adhere to safe work procedures and complete risk assessments before commencing any work.
14. Identify parts for replacement and equipment for repairs.
15. Perform basic mechanical repairs for heavy equipment.
16. Maintain detailed records of serviced equipment.
17. Report to direct manager regarding status of allocated work.
18. Keep his direct manager informed whenever found any issue with the equipment.
19. Complete job reports and processing paperwork.
20. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.

HSE Responsibility

1. Identifies any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and recommends and implements measures and solutions to mitigate these risks.
2. Complies with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
3. Identifies and reports to management any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and cooperate with his/her supervisor’s instructions.
4. Contribute to the QMS: to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system (QMS) by implementing processes in accordance with their roles and responsibilities.
5. Participate in Training and Apply Competence: to participate in training programs to develop and maintain the necessary competence for their roles, and to apply their competence to perform work activities and contribute to the effectiveness of the QMS.
6. Follow Procedures and Control of Production and Service Provision: to follow documented procedures and work instructions relevant to their work.
7. Report Changes and Nonconformities: to report any changes in their work environment or processes that could affect the conformity of AMHEC's products or services, report any nonconformities and suggest corrective actions to prevent their recurrence.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

1. High school technical diploma or equivalent.
2. Electric Diagrams, CAN Bus, Electric/ Electronic component overhauling.
3. Having (1-2) years of related Experience.
