Job summary

The role requires conducting inspections before, during, and after welding, verifying WPS/WQT, PWHT, NDT coordination, and adherence to Aramco standards. Saudi Arabia-based opportunity with onsite duties.

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.1 certification preferred and considered an asset.
• Expertise in welding inspection, quality control, and compliance with international standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection before, during, and after welding activities for piping, pressure vessels, structures, and components.
• Verify bevel preparation, root gap, bevel angle, root face, and joint cleanliness.
• Ensure approvals of WPS, WQT, consumables, and calibration certificates.
• Verify preheat and back purging requirements.
• Confirm electrode size/type per WPS.

• Conduct inspection before, during, and after welding activities for piping, pressure vessels, structures, and other components.
• Verify bevel preparation, including root gap, bevel angle, root face, and joint cleanliness.
• Ensure approval of welding procedures (WPS), welder qualifications (WQT), consumables, and calibration certifications.
• Verify preheat and back purging requirements.
• Confirm size and type of electrodes used as per WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
• Assess weather conditions, ensure proper weld area coverage, and monitor interpass temperature.
• Perform visual inspection in accordance with code and specification requirements.
• Offer completed weld joints for NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and monitor NDT requirements.
• Check PWHT (Post Weld Heat Treatment) and hardness requirements as per service and code specifications.
• Identify defects, ensure repairs, and conduct re-NDT for acceptance.
• Apply knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME IX, ASME IIA/B/C, and API 1104.
• Raise RFI (Request for Inspection) to the client as per ITP (Inspection Test Plan) and coordinate inspections.
• Conduct surveillance inspections and raise NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) for any non-conformities.
• Prepare work procedures and ITPs as per project specifications and code requirements, and follow up with the client for approval.
• Identify potential issues and take corrective actions immediately.
• Ensure compliance with Aramco standards.

Preferable(But Not Mandatory) Previous Saudi Aramco experience as QC Welding Inspector & Aramco-CBT EXAM-PID Welding passed record preferable.
