Job summary

Emdad United Transportation is seeking a capable dispatcher to manage daily trucking operations and convert client requests into efficient routes and loads. You will coordinate drivers, source backhaul opportunities, and monitor trips with GPS tools to ensure on-time performance and route compliance.

The role requires English proficiency, strong negotiation skills with freight brokers, and competence in mapping apps and Excel for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight transport or dispatching operations.
• Proficiency in English (speaking and writing).
• Proficiency in mapping apps, GPS tracking systems, and MS Excel.
• Strong communication and negotiation with freight brokers.
• Thorough awareness of road networks, industrial zones, and key ports.
• Ability to handle field crises and multitask with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Order Management & Dispatching: Receiving client orders and documenting shipment data; assigning tasks to drivers.
• Fleet Operations & Load Sourcing: Ensuring trucks do not run empty by actively seeking backhaul loads.
• Field Follow-up & Support: Real-time GPS tracking and providing immediate driver support during breakdowns or accidents.
• Documentation & Records Management: Issuing transport docs, reviewing fuel invoices and PODs; data entry of trip details into the system.

Job description

Job Objective

Managing and directing daily trucking operations, converting client requests into successful operational processes, ensuring maximum fleet capacity utilization (headhaul/backhaul), and maintaining accurate trip documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Management & Dispatching

• Receiving client orders and documenting shipment data (type, weight, destination, schedule).
• Assigning tasks to drivers and directing them to loading/unloading sites.

2. Fleet Operations & Load Sourcing

• Ensuring trucks do not run empty by actively searching for backhaul loads.

3. Field Follow-up & Support

• Real-time tracking via GPS to ensure route compliance.
• Providing immediate support for drivers during breakdowns or accidents.

4. Documentation & Records Management

• Issuing transport docs (Bayan/Naql), reviewing fuel invoices and PODs.
• Data entry of trip details (distance, consumption, revenue) into the system.
