Job summary

Parsons seeks a Transport & Mobility Engineer to contribute to traffic engineering, corridor assessment, and mobility-improvement activities in Riyadh. You will analyze field data, use analytical tools, and collaborate with ITS, planning, and roadway teams to identify practical transportation solutions.

The role offers exposure to large-city traffic management, performance evaluation, and implementation of improvement concepts in a dynamic operating environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Support traffic engineering and mobility assessments at intersections, corridors, highways, access points, and congestion hotspots across Riyadh.
• Review traffic counts, turning-movement data, travel times, queue observations, speed data, crash information, detector data, video, and other field information to identify operational deficiencies.
• Conduct field inspections and document existing traffic operations, geometric constraints, lane-use issues, pedestrian conditions, and access conflicts.
• Develop and review practical traffic-management and geometric improvement concepts such as lane-use changes, turn-lane modifications, access management, signing and marking improvements, signal-timing changes, and capacity improvements.
• Coordinate with roadway, signal, ITS, public transport, parking, safety, and construction specialists to ensure recommendations account for wider network impacts.
