Job summary

Adecco Group in Riyadh seeks an experienced Technical Draftsman / Technical Detailer to join our client in Riyadh. The role focuses on producing detailed workshop-ready drawings for woodworking, joinery, furniture and exhibition stands.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in woodwork and event production, can convert design concepts into precise 2D and 3D production packages, and will work closely with designers and workshop teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years experience in joinery, furniture, woodworking, exhibition stands, event production, stage scenery, TV studio sets or similar industries
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D & 3D
• Strong working knowledge of SketchUp
• Experience preparing shop/execution drawings
• Experience with CNC router/file preparation, DXF/DWG and panel nesting
• Good understanding of woodwork, carpentry and joinery detailing
• Understanding workshop fabrication and installation requirements
• Ability to read and interpret design concepts and develop production drawings
• Strong attention to detail and practical understanding of manufacturing and assembly

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical/shop drawings using AutoCAD
• Work directly from SketchUp designer models and develop production-ready drawings
• Prepare detailed execution and shop drawings with dimensions, materials, connections and assembly details
• Prepare DXF/DWG files for CNC cutting
• Prepare panel nesting and material optimization layouts
• Prepare cutting lists, component schedules and assembly details
• Ensure drawings are suitable for workshop fabrication and on-site installation
• Coordinate with designers, workshop teams and project teams to resolve technical details
• Apply practical knowledge of carpentry, woodwork and joinery construction methods
• Understand workshop fabrication processes and site assembly requirements
• Knowledge of light steel structures and metal fabrication is an advantage

About the Role
