Job summary

GECS is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of airport ground support equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and testing to ensure equipment is available for daily operations.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, plus communication skills and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related field.
• 2-3 years’ experience in maintenance of airport ground support equipment or similar.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Experience in aviation, airport operations or ground handling preferred.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on specialized airport equipment per OEM and company procedures.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and test to ensure equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external OEM support to resolve issues.
• Ensure equipment is operational for daily airport operations.
• Carry out pre-operational inspections and checks before release for service.
• Maintain equipment performance and availability in line with KPIs.
• Submit daily maintenance reports and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with aviation safety, operations and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to breakdowns and support emergency maintenance when required.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance reliability and efficiency.

A leading company in the aviation industry is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of specialized airport operational equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with operational, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on specialized airport operational equipment in accordance with OEM recommendations and company procedures.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and functional testing to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams and external OEM support to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure equipment is fully operational and available for daily airport operations.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and functionality checks before equipment is released for service.
• Maintain equipment performance and availability in line with operational KPIs.
• Prepare and submit daily maintenance reports and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation safety, operational, and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support emergency maintenance activities when required.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the maintenance of airport ground support equipment (GSE), industrial equipment, or other specialized machinery.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Previous experience in aviation, airport operations, or ground handling is highly preferred.
• Good command of the English language (written and spoken).
• Preferred age: 28-35 years.
