Job summary

Gathern in الرياض, SA, seeks a Strategy Manager to own end-to-end strategic planning, performance cycles, and board reporting. You will drive the North Star metrics, OKR portfolio and initiative planning, ensuring decisions are data‑driven and traceable.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in strategy/ops for marketplaces or travel platforms, advanced Excel/Sheets skills, and experience in pricing, revenue management and KPI storytelling for executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, finance or related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in strategy, corporate strategy, or a strategy/ops function in marketplaces, e-commerce or travel platforms.
• Demonstrable executive and board reporting: decks, one-pagers and KPI trees.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets to build and audit multi-driver models end to end.
• Analytical skills are a must.
• Bilingual in Arabic and English preferred.
• KSA or GCC market experience in travel, hospitality or short-term rental.
• Exposure to OKR frameworks and planning practices.
• Experience in pricing, revenue management or customer segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategic planning and performance cycle.
• Maintain planning for revenue, reservations, ARPR, SCR, ADR, LOS and take rate with targets, actuals, variances.
• Run diagnostic analyses that attribute revenue and reservation gaps to drivers and convert to named actions with owners and dates.
• Build scenario and sensitivity models for pricing, segmentation and destination planning.
• Support annual and quarterly planning, including target setting and monthly ramp.
• Own OKR planning: objectives, key results, initiative cards, scoring and milestone tracking.
• Run monthly performance cycle and data cut-off, variance review, and commentary publication.
• Ensure all commitments and initiatives translate to performance outcomes.
• Maintain the metric definitions library and enforce consistency across reports.
• Prepare executive reports, quarterly one-pagers and board materials; act as the quality gate on numbers.

Strategy Manager at Gathern in الرياض, S01, SA. Full time on site position.

Job Purpose

Own Gathern's strategic planning and performance cycle end to end including the North Star driver model, the OKR and initiative portfolio planning, and the executive and board reporting built on top of them, so that leadership decisions are made on numbers that are current, reconciled and traceable to a driver.

Key Accountabilities

• Strategic planning and analysis
• Maintain the planning and analysis for the main including revenue, reservations, ARPR, SCR, ADR, LOS and take rate. Keeping targets, actuals and variances reconciled every month.
• Run diagnostic analysis that attributes revenue and reservation gaps to primary and supporting drivers, and convert the attribution into named actions with owners and dates.
• Build and maintain scenario and sensitivity models for pricing, segmentation and destination planning.
• Support the annual and quarterly planning cycle, including target setting and the monthly ramp.
• Performance management: Own the OKR planning: objectives, key results, initiative cards, scoring and milestone tracking.
• Run the monthly performance cycle and data cut-off, variance review, commentary drafting and publication to a fixed calendar.
• Ensure all the commitments and initiative are translated into the required performance outcome.
• Maintain the metric definitions library and enforce definition consistency across every published report.
• Executive and board reporting: Produce the monthly executive report, the quarterly one-pager and board materials to a consistent standard: action titles, three to four lines of commentary, and internally consistent metrics. Prepare pre-reads and decision papers for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. Act as the quality gate on numbers leaving the department. No figure is published that cannot be traced to a source and a definition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, finance or a related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of experience, including strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a strategy or business-operations function inside a marketplace, e-commerce or travel platform.
• Demonstrable executive and board reporting: action-titled decks, one-pagers and KPI trees.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets, able to build and audit a multi-driver model end to end.
• Analytical skills is a must.
• Bilingual is preferred (Ar, En).
