Job summary

BYD Europe seeks a market development leader to build and grow BYD Commercial Vehicles in Saudi Arabia. You will own end-to-end market development, customer relationships, and local ecosystem building, coordinating across internal teams and external partners to convert opportunities into sustainable growth.

The role goes beyond quotations and deals, demanding strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment. Strong English required; Arabic desirable.

Responsibilities

• Market Development & Strategy: Develop and execute market-entry and growth strategy for the assigned country; identify market size, segments, applications, customer structure, competitors, pricing and regulatory environment.
• Business Development & Sales: Build and manage a strong commercial pipeline across buses and trucks; identify strategic customers and lead engagement from opportunity to closing; drive pilots and reference fleets.
• Customer & Key Account Management: Establish senior-level relationships with key customers and stakeholders; position BYD as a long-term mobility partner; manage lifecycle relationships.
• Government & Institutional Relations: Develop relationships with ministries, transport authorities, and government agencies; support EV policy discussions; coordinate with regional and corporate teams.
• Partner & Ecosystem Development: Build the local ecosystem with partners, distributors, service partners, and charging partners; align with BYD strategy.
• Product & Solution Development: Provide market feedback to Product teams; coordinate homologation and local requirements; tailor configurations for local customers.
• TCO & Commercial Solutions: Develop deep understanding of TCO; craft competitive proposals; support financing, leasing and charging solutions.
• Customer Service & Operational Coordination: Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure service coverage and readiness before delivery; manage project delivery and post-launch support.
