Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in Saudi Arabia seeks a Testing amp Commissioning Engineer for the 380kV Substation Project. The role focuses on testing of protective relays and associated equipment, ensuring all systems perform to design specs and client requirements.

You will coordinate testing activities, manage documentation, and ensure safety and quality during energization. 8–15 years in EHV substations is expected, with at least 5 years on 380kV projects in KSA or GCC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 8-15 years in testing and commissioning of EHV substations.
• Minimum 5 years in 380kV substation projects in KSA or GCC.

Responsibilities

• Shall be competent to test the Main Advanced Relays, back up relays and Auxiliary relays and execute individually.
• Operate all relay software applications from different makes.
• Operate all make secondary and primary current injection kits.
• Have thorough knowledge of protection schemes, reading and verification in the field.
• Suggest improvements to operational procedures and document accordingly.
• Schedule and coordinate work to tight deadlines.
• Identify problems and shortcomings with existing systems.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning with internal and external stakeholders; provide advice on procedures and documentation.
• Produce or assist in producing all tests and commissioning documentation.
• Conduct testing and commissioning activities within site time and cost constraints.
• Record all test results, witness final testing and compile site test dossier documentation.
• Ensure safe testing and commissioning to achieve plant performance per program.
