Job summary

DAR Engineering in Saudi Arabia seeks a Testing & Commissioning Engineer with 3 to 10 years in electrical engineering, focusing on substation and protection systems. You will witness and support T&C activities on-site, ensuring safety, accuracy, and proper documentation.

The role requires hands-on experience with substation equipment, protection relays, and SAS; IEC 61850 is a plus. You will coordinate with project teams and clients to resolve on-site issues and maintain rigorous commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–10 years of Testing & Commissioning experience.
• Proven experience with substation equipment and protection relays.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Substation Automation Systems (SAS); IEC 61850 is a plus.
• Strong fault analysis and reporting skills.
• Experience on large infrastructure or utility projects in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Witness and oversee all Testing & Commissioning activities on-site per project specifications.
• Ensure safety procedures during all commissioning phases.
• Follow and maintain the Commissioning System Documentation (CSD).
• Inspect installation and operation of substation equipment (switchgear, transformers).
• Perform and witness testing of protection relays (configuration, logic, testing).
• Participate in testing and commissioning of SAS.
• Conduct or support fault analysis and interpretation of event records.
• Prepare commissioning records, test reports, and issue logs.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and client representatives to resolve issues on-site.
• Support documentation handover and ensure alignment with standards.
