Job summary

DAR Engineering in Saudi Arabia seeks a Testing & Commissioning Engineer with 3 to 10 years in electrical engineering, focusing on substation and protection systems. You will witness and support T&C activities on-site, ensuring safety, accuracy, and proper documentation.

The role requires hands-on experience with substation equipment, protection relays, and SAS; IEC 61850 is a plus. You will coordinate with project teams and clients to resolve on-site issues and maintain rigorous commissioning

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
3–10 years of Testing & Commissioning experience.
Proven experience with substation equipment and protection relays.
Hands‑on knowledge of Substation Automation Systems (SAS); IEC 61850 is a plus.
Strong fault analysis and reporting skills.
Experience on large infrastructure or utility projects in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

Witness and oversee all Testing & Commissioning activities on-site per project specifications.
Ensure safety procedures during all commissioning phases.
Follow and maintain the Commissioning System Documentation (CSD).
Inspect installation and operation of substation equipment (switchgear, transformers).
Perform and witness testing of protection relays (configuration, logic, testing).
Participate in testing and commissioning of SAS.
Conduct or support fault analysis and interpretation of event records.
Prepare commissioning records, test reports, and issue logs.
Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and client representatives to resolve issues on-site.
Support documentation handover and ensure alignment with standards.
