Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering seeks an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor for 380 kV substations in Saudi Arabia. You will supervise site activities, ensure SEC compliance, review and coordinate drawings, and lead QA/QC efforts to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include planning, progress reporting, issue resolution, and handover readiness for commissioning. The role requires proactive coordination with SEC, consultants, and contractors on a multinational site.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising civil construction activities on substations or high voltage projects.
• Strong knowledge of SEC standards, drawings, and specifications.
• Hands-on QA/QC, quality control, and inspection processes.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise monitor and control all civil construction activities at the substation site including foundations, building, cable trenches, equipment foundations, roads and fencing.
• Ensure all works are executed in compliance with SEC standards, drawings and specifications.
• Review civil designs, drawings and shop drawings and coordinate with engineering consultants and contractors for approvals.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders SEC representatives, consultants, contractors and suppliers for timely progress.
• Plan and schedule civil construction activities to meet project timelines and milestones.
• Monitor quality of materials and workmanship, conduct inspections and ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards at the site.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation such as daily progress reports, inspection requests and material approvals.
• Assist in resolving technical issues, variations and claims related to civil works.
• Support the Project Manager in progress meetings and provide input on civil work status and challenges.
• Ensure timely completion and handover of civil works to enable installation of electrical equipment and overall substation commissioning.
