Saudi Services For Electro Mechanic Works Co. SSEM is seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of HV and EHV substations and electrical infrastructure. You will perform tests, troubleshoot issues, and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant handovers.

The role requires 5+ years in testing and commissioning of substations, familiarity with 132kV, 220kV, and 400kV projects, and hands-on experience with protection relays, SCADA, and industry standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
Minimum 5+ years of testing and commissioning experience in substations and protection systems.
Hands-on 132kV/220kV/400kV substation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning of HV and EHV substations (132kV, 220kV, 400kV).
Conduct primary and secondary injection tests for transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and control panels.
Verify SCADA, relay protection systems, and communication protocols for substation automation.
Analyze test results to identify malfunctions and coordinate with engineering teams for resolution.
Ensure compliance with SEC, IEC, IEEE, and NETA standards and maintain test reports.
