Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator for the Ar Rjum Project in Saudi Arabia. The role supports the Contracts Manager across civil, mechanical and electrical/instrumentation packages, coordinating with field engineering and project controls.

Responsibilities include pre-contract bid standardization, financial evaluations, and negotiation with bidders, as well as post-contract payments, variation management, and final accounts reconciliation to close out the project.

Qualifications

• Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labor.
• Preparing tender and contract documents.
• Identifying and weighing up commercial risks.
• Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.
• Proven track record, knowledge and implementation of rules of measurement for civils, mechanical and electrical/instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Contract: Preparing comprehensive and accurate BoQs to standardize bidding for contractors.
• Pre-Contract: Assisting financial evaluations to recommend the best contractor.
• Pre-Contract: Assisting in negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing with the successful bidder to protect client interests.
• Post-Contract: Interim Payments: Assess and verify the value of work completed on-site to issue monthly progress payments.
• Post-Contract: Variation Management: Price and assess the financial impact of changes to the project scope.
• Post-Contract: Claim Evaluation: Assess financial claims submitted by the Contractor.
• Project Close-Out: Final Accounts: Reconcile all project costs, variations, and claims for final settlement.
