Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Deputy ESH Manager for the Ar Rjum project in Saudi Arabia. You will support the ESH Manager, oversee environmental, safety and health activities, and provide technical expertise to control risks to people, property and the environment.

You will lead an ESH team, coordinate with client representatives, and ensure adherence to project schedules and risk controls across construction stages. A strong governance mindset and incident investigation experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Environmental, Safety or Health required.
• NEBOSH Certification required.
• 10+ years of ESH experience in heavy industrial construction.
• 4+ years supervising a team of ESH professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ESH program plans, systems and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Support Site Manager in implementing the ESH program.
• Monitor ESH program implementation and report improvements.
• Review contractor ES&H plans, records and training.
• Identify and adopt best practices for ESH.
• Evolve ESH program through project stages.
• Lead in-field ESH support and risk controls.
• Maintain client coordination and lead senior ESH meetings.
• Act as lead investigator for serious incidents.
• Promote a positive safety culture on site.
