Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Support the full sales cycle from engagement to project award.

Senior Sales Engineer - Services
Job Purpose

Generate new business opportunities and accelerate business growth by securing product approvals and collaborating with the Presales team to produce technical, architectural, and engineering deliverables that generate profitable sales. Serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services to ensure high customer satisfaction. Success is measured through new customer acquisition, renewals, up-selling, cross-selling, and overall contribution to the sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Propose cost-effective and time-saving alternatives to contractors while protecting company profit margins.
  • Support the full sales cycle from customer engagement through project award.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to obtain contractor quotations in support of sales opportunities.
  • Provide tailored technical solutions to meet unique end-user component and installation requirements.
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies for key vertical market segments.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate solution delivery.
  • Develop and deliver product and application training programs for customers.
  • Support solution selling activities across prospective accounts.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals throughout complex sales cycles.
  • Develop financial business cases for sales opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations highlighting the value proposition.
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses.
  • Collect and document competitive market intelligence.
2. Quotation, Order & Collection Management
  • Maintain the supplier database, including contact information and product mapping for efficient RFQ evaluation.
  • Evaluate customer requirements from bid packages and RFQs in coordination with the Presales team.
  • Identify commercial requirements (e.g., Bid Bonds) and hidden project cost factors for stakeholder review.
  • Prepare bid packages and coordinate with customers and vendors to resolve technical queries before and after bid submission.
  • Prepare Letters of Authorization (LOA), technical and commercial quotations, and all supporting documentation.
  • Lead responses to technical queries during the bid evaluation process.
  • Recommend suitable products from Evostel inventory and support pricing activities using vendor price lists and supplier portals.
  • Coordinate with Commercial, Sales, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure bid readiness.
  • Review customer purchase orders to verify BOM accuracy, scope of supply, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting final project dossiers, including user manuals, drawings, and test certificates.
  • Support preparation of technical submittals in accordance with customer standards.
3. Techno-Commercial Responsibilities
  • Provide technical consultations covering power system retrofitting, protection system engineering, and switchgear modernization.
  • Lead proposal development for complex electrical and automation projects.
  • Conduct project site visits to assess customer systems and technical requirements.
  • Drive sales through technical presentations on advanced services, including:
  • Secondary Current Injection Testing
  • Hipot Testing Services
  • Protection Relay Parameter Settings
  • Collaborate with technology partners to deliver advanced solutions such as LED lighting surveys and obsolete equipment replacement programs.
4. Reporting
  • Manage sales opportunities within the CRM and provide project tracking, win/loss analysis, revenue forecasts, and order forecasts.
  • Monitor open orders and coordinate with vendors and Presales teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Track customer receivables and coordinate payment follow-up between customers and Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ISO procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to departmental policies and support implementation of procedures and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Certifications (Preferred)
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Licenses (Preferred)
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
Experience
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.
Languages
Knowledge
  • Product Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian Market
