Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, seeks an experienced Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision and delivery of major high-rise, mixed-use, hospitality, and building infrastructure projects.

You will manage site teams, ensure works meet approved drawings, Saudi Building Code, and contract requirements, coordinate with clients, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders, and drive QA/QC, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management is preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration or recognized chartership is preferred.
• PMP Certification or equivalent project management qualification is an advantage.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution is desirable.
• Minimum 15 to 20 years of professional experience in construction supervision and project delivery.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as Resident Engineer or Senior Construction Supervision Engineer on major building projects.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction supervision activities for high-rise buildings and large-scale developments.
• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and Saudi Building Code.
• Manage multidisciplinary site teams including Civil, Structural, Architectural, MEP, Inspectors and HSE personnel.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, contractors, consultants, and local authorities.
• Review contractor claims, variation orders, extension of time requests, and payment applications.
