Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and supervision of electrical systems for high-rise, hospitality, and large-scale developments in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. You will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with SBC, SEC and international standards, and drive project milestones.

This role requires 15–20 years of experience, strong leadership, and a track record on major regional projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
Master's degree preferred in electrical engineering or Building Services.
Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
Membership of IEEE/IET/SCE desirable.
LEED AP or Mostadam sustainability certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and review of electrical systems for high-rise and complex buildings.
Review electrical calculations, load schedules, single-line diagrams, reports and specs.
Perform electrical load assessments, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit studies and protection coordination studies.
Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, fire and life safety teams for system integration.
Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, submittals, and testing procedures.
Ensure compliance with SBC, SEC, international standards and project requirements.
Monitor construction activities and witness testing, commissioning and energization.
Support authority submissions with utilities and regulatory bodies.
Lead design reviews, value engineering workshops and technical coordination meetings.
