Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision and delivery of major high-rise and mixed-use projects in Saudi Arabia. You will manage site teams, ensure compliance with designs, specs, and Saudi Building Code, and coordinate with clients and authorities to secure approvals.

The role requires 15–20 years in construction supervision, with 10+ years as Resident Engineer on large buildings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management is preferred.
Professional Engineer registration or recognized chartership is preferred.
PMP Certification or equivalent project management qualification is an advantage.
Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution is desirable.
Minimum 15 to 20 years of professional experience in construction supervision and project delivery.
Minimum 10 years of experience as Resident Engineer or Senior Construction Supervision Engineer on major building projects.
Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day construction supervision for high-rise and large-scale developments.
Ensure works align with drawings, specs, and Saudi regulations.
Manage multidisciplinary site supervision teams (Civil, Structural, Arch, MEP, HSE).
Monitor progress against project schedules and milestones.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities to obtain approvals.
Oversee QA/QC procedures across construction activities.
Conduct site inspections and audits for quality, safety, and environment.
Review design/construction issues and propose practical solutions.
Lead progress meetings and address delays and risks with contractors.
Review contractor claims, variations, extensions of time, and payments.
Monitor testing, commissioning, snagging and handover activities.
Maintain project documentation and reporting to management and clients.
