Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design review, construction supervision, testing, commissioning and handover of major high-rise projects in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The role ensures electrical systems are designed, installed, tested and commissioned per project specs, Saudi regulations and international standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Master's Degree preferred in Electrical/Building Services.
Registration with Saudi Council of Engineers preferred.
PE/CEng or equivalent certification is an advantage.
LEED AP or sustainability certifications desirable.
10–15 years of electrical engineering experience.
Minimum 5 years on major high-rise/large-scale building projects.
Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC highly preferred.
Experience with consultants, PMCs, developers and contractors.
Experience in construction, testing, commissioning and handover phases.
Knowledge of sustainable building technologies and energy-efficient design.

Responsibilities

Review and supervise electrical construction activities for high-rise and large-scale projects.
Ensure works conform to drawings, specs and project requirements.
Conduct site inspections and verify installation quality.
Witness testing, commissioning, energization, and performance verification.
Review load calculations, short-circuit studies, voltage drop, and distribution schemes.
Coordinate with architects, structural/mechanical engineers and contractors.
Monitor progress and ensure schedule compliance.
Identify construction issues and provide engineering solutions.
Support authority inspections and utility coordination.
Review operation and maintenance manuals and as-built docs.
Participate in design reviews, progress meetings and workshops.
Assist value engineering and cost-saving electrical solutions.
Support handover and defect liability inspections.
Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
Promote energy-efficient electrical systems.
