Job summary

Hill International is seeking a Senior Risk Manager in Riyadh to lead comprehensive risk assessment and governance across project lifecycles. You will establish risk registers, coordinate workshops, and drive mitigation strategies with clients and contractors.

The role requires an engineering background, RMP certification, and 15+ years of large-scale project risk experience, with strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
• RMP or equivalent certification.
• 15+ years of experience in engineering or project management with risk management on mega projects.
• Working knowledge of project controls, cost, schedule, contracts, and claims risk.
• Experience identifying and managing cost, schedule, quality, and safety risks.
• Familiarity with risk management systems and databases (e.g., Active Risk Manager).
• Understanding of ERM principles at project level.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and consultants.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and monitor project risks across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Develop, update, and maintain Project / Program / PMC Risk Registers.
• Coordinate and facilitate regular risk review workshops with the Client, PMC team, consultants, and contractors as required.
• Clearly define risks, challenges, and issues and escalat into management in a timely manner.
• Prepare and update risk mitigation and response plans and monitor implementation.
• Report on key risks, trends, and mitigation effectiveness through periodic risk reports.
• Support development and application of risk probability and impact matrices.
• Support risk identification related to cost, schedule, quality, and safety risks.
• Provide risk input during pre-construction, design, procurement, and construction stages.
• Support review of contracts, procurement strategies, and delivery methods from a risk perspective.
• Assist in assessing risks associated with different project delivery systems (lump sum, cost-plus, target cost, etc.).
• Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify and evaluate risk issues.
• Maintain risk data within approved risk management tools and databases.
• Ensure compliance with Hill Internationals Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
