Jensen Hughes Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Safety & Risk Engineer in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role leads complex process safety and risk assignments across oil & gas, LNG, and petrochemicals, combining workshop facilitation with project delivery and client engagement.

Travel across the region is required. The candidate will mentor engineers, review technical deliverables, and manage multi-project scopes while reporting to the Chemical Process Safety Division head for the Middle East &

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a closely related discipline with 15+ years of relevant process safety or technical risk experience.
• Independent HAZOP and HAZID chairing experience with a track record in complex projects.
• Experience with safety software such as exSILentia, FLARESIM, FRED/SHEPHERD, and CFD tools.
• Strong QRA, consequence modelling and fire/explosion risk assessment capabilities.
• Experience delivering projects for major operators and EPC contractors in the Middle East.
• Excellent written and spoken English; willingness to travel regionally.

Responsabilités

• Chair HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA, SIMOPS and Bow-Tie workshops; produce actionable recommendations.
• Lead and review QRAs, consequence modelling, FERAs, BRA, flare radiation studies.
• Oversee Fire & Gas Mapping, EERA, and ESSA activities with specialist input as needed.
• Develop and review safety cases, COMAH reports, and safety-critical element standards.
• Apply client specifications and risk acceptance criteria; document assumptions and reductions.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources from proposal to close-out; handle changes.
• Serve as technical focal point for clients and EPC contractors; present findings.
• Prepare scopes, methodologies, effort estimates, proposals; support client meetings.
• Mentor engineers and ensure consistent technical quality across the team.
