Job summary

Jensen Hughes seeks a Senior Process Safety & Risk Engineer in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, to lead complex process safety assignments for oil & gas, LNG, and petrochemical facilities. Will engage in workshops, risk assessments, and client liaison, reporting to the Chemical Process Safety Division — Middle East & India.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, capable chairing HAZOP/HAZID, and travel across the region.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with extensive process safety/technical risk experience.
Independent HAZOP/HAZID chairing demonstrated.
Experience with industry software for risk assessment and modelling.

Responsibilities

Chair HAZOP/HAZID/SIL-LOPA/SIMOPS and Bow-Tie workshops with multi-disciplinary teams.
Lead and review QRA, consequence modelling, FERA, BRA and flare studies.
Oversee Fire & Gas Mapping, EERA, and ESSA analyses.
Develop safety cases, COMAH reports, and hazard registers.
Apply client specs and risk acceptance criteria; justify risk reductions.
Manage scope, schedule, budgets and resources through project lifecycle.
Be technical focal point for clients and EPCs; present findings.
Prepare scopes, methodologies and proposals; support client meetings.
Mentor engineers and ensure technical quality across the team.
