Job summary

Bechtel is launching an Energy office in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, inviting Senior Process Safety Engineers to collaborate with global experts on oil, gas, chemical and New Energies projects as part of Bechtel’s Saudi Vision 2030 efforts.

You will contribute to FEED, detailed design and project execution, with access to world-class tools, mentorship and a broad execution network across the Middle East.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of FEED and Detailed Engineering experience in refineries, petrochemicals or gas processing.
• Excellent technical and managerial skills with verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards including NFPA.
• Experience with Middle East projects and familiarity with Aramco/ Royal Commission standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide design recommendations for new projects to ensure conformance with process safety codes.
• Develop process safety design basis, spill containment design basis and fire protection philosophy.
• Prepare and review conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
• Coordinate design development with other disciplines while meeting schedules.
• Conduct safety studies such as HAZID/HAZOP/SIL/QRA and supervise a small team of engineers.
