Job summary

Bechtel and Expo Riyadh are collaborating to deliver safety-first infrastructure for Expo 2030 Riyadh. This role focuses on integrating health and safety requirements into complex project planning, design, and operations.

You will perform risk assessments, participate in bid decisions, and lead meetings to improve safety performance. You will monitor safety procedures across multiple work streams, coordinate daily inspections, and ensure compliance with the Expo Riyadh Safety Manual.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering degree required with international health and safety qualifications.
• Must demonstrate experience in daily safety verification and risk-based planning.
• Proven ability to lead safety meetings, track performance trends, and influence project teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document daily safety inspections and ensure client contractor conformance.
• Raise observations through online reporting systems.
• Lead safety pre-start kick-off meetings with contractors as per Expo Riyadh Manual.
• Verify security, traffic, logistics, and emergency arrangements on site.
• Address safety non-conformances and escalate as needed to maintain controls.
• Issue suspension of work if safety controls are inadequate and notify ESH Manager.
