Job summary

Bechtel invites a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our new Energy office in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, delivering environmental design for oil, gas, chemical and New Energies projects. You will collaborate with global experts, support regulatory compliance, and lead environmental deliverables across FEED and detail design.

The role requires mastery of air emissions, water treatment, and regulatory permitting, with travel within the Middle East as needed and a strong command of English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in environmental, chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional license or chartership in an appropriate engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop environmental design basis, process flow diagrams and equipment datasheets.
• Contribute to P&IDs, plot plans and philosophies.
• Review permit material for air and effluent emission compliance.
• Attend key meetings such as HAZID/ENVID, P&ID review, HAZOP and 3D model review.
