Job summary

Leading Saudi Contractor is seeking a Lead Planning Engineer to head scheduling across multiple large-scale residential projects in Saudi Arabia. You will develop integrated schedules, monitor progress, analyze delays, and provide management with accurate reporting to ensure timely delivery within contractual requirements.

Ideal candidate has 15+ years' planning experience, expert Primavera P6 skills, and strong analytical and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 15 years planning and scheduling experience on EPC, construction, or large engineering projects.
Strong experience with Primavera P6 (mandatory).
Experience with high-rise buildings, residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis, and delay analysis.
Experience preparing recovery schedules and mitigation plans.
Knowledge of project lifecycle from engineering through construction and handover.
Excellent reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead development, review, and maintenance of baseline project schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare detailed project execution schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and handover activities.
Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against baselines.
Perform critical path analysis, delay analysis, and schedule risk assessments.
Prepare recovery plans and mitigation strategies to address schedule deviations.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Site teams to ensure schedule alignment.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, look-ahead schedules, and executive presentations.
Review subcontractors' schedules and monitor their compliance with project milestones.
Support project controls activities including forecasting, earned value analysis, and productivity monitoring.
Participate in extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required.
Ensure planning activities comply with project contracts, client requirements, and company procedures.
Mentor junior planning engineers and promote planning best practices across projects.
