Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Planner for a major roads and highways project in Riyadh. You will lead planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, coordinating with managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

You will mentor junior planners, help improve planning processes, and ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements across multiple active projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 20+ years in project planning and scheduling with progression to senior roles.
• Experience on roads/highways construction projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication.
• Leadership and ability to engage stakeholders; PMP/PRINCE2 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project plans, WBS, schedule and resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; align with milestones.
• Coordinate resource management across multiple projects.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies for timelines and budgets.
• Monitor progress and address deviations or delays.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to teams and senior management.
• Engage stakeholders to align plans with organizational goals.
• Ensure quality assurance per standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives.
• Mentor and train junior planners to ensure best practices.
