Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a senior OpenStack engineer for our Private Cloud Professional Services team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will deploy and manage OpenStack-based private clouds, integrate Kubernetes, and automate provisioning, monitoring, and scaling of resources while maintaining high-security standards.

The role requires deep Linux administration and scripting skills, plus experience with automation tools and multi-cloud integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
Strong Linux system administration and scripting experience (Python, Bash).
Experience in customer-facing support roles is desirable.
Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, COA are preferred.
Ability to work in a compliance-driven, high-security environment.

Responsibilities

OpenStack deployment, management, and optimization of private cloud infrastructure including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, and Keystone.
Manage Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration; operate Charmed Kubernetes environments.
Develop automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and scaling cloud resources.
Monitor performance and troubleshoot OpenStack and Kubernetes issues; optimize configurations.
Ensure security, access controls, and CIS benchmarking compliance; generate regular reports.
