Job summary

Astek Middle East is seeking a Senior O&M PMO professional to coordinate and oversee operations and maintenance activities across energy efficiency, building retrofit, and facility projects in Saudi Arabia. This site-based role focuses on coordinating maintenance, monitoring performance, and supporting contractors to ensure lifecycle operation.

The candidate will track O&M KPIs, manage multiple sites, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Technician Academic Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day O&M activities across multiple project sites.
• Monitor O&M activities against maintenance plans and service levels.
• Track KPIs, equipment availability, system uptime, and performance.
• Coordinate with O&M contractors and service providers for timely maintenance.
• Prepare O&M progress reports, logs, KPI reports, and summaries.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior O&M PMO professional to support the coordination and oversight of operations and maintenance activities across energy efficiency, building retrofit, and facility projects in Saudi Arabia. This site-based role will focus on coordinating maintenance activities, monitoring equipment and facility performance, tracking O&M KPIs, supporting contractors and service providers, and ensuring that completed installations continue to operate effectively throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations and maintenance activities across multiple project sites.
• Monitor O&M activities against approved maintenance plans and service level requirements.
• Monitor the performance of HVAC systems, LED lighting, solar PV systems, BMS, and other building systems.
• Track maintenance KPIs, equipment availability, system uptime, and service performance.
• Coordinate with O&M contractors and service providers to ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare O&M progress reports, maintenance logs, KPI reports, and performance summaries.
• Support the tracking of spare parts inventories and maintenance budgets.
• Follow up on outstanding maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Monitor contractor performance and compliance with agreed service requirements.
• Ensure O&M activities comply with quality, HSE, and operational standards.
• Participate in site and project review meetings and provide O&M updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, performance, and service delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives based on maintenance data and lessons learned.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Relevant experience in operations and maintenance, facility management, project coordination, or a related field.
• Candidates with extensive experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proven professional experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Basic understanding of O&M activities and maintenance processes.
• Experience coordinating contractors, service providers, or maintenance teams.
• Ability to manage multiple project sites and priorities.
• Strong reporting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Knowledge of maintenance scheduling and asset lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with CAFM/CMMS platforms such as IBM Maximo, Archibus, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy monitoring systems.
• Experience with maintenance reporting, KPI tracking, and performance dashboards.
• Familiarity with spare parts and maintenance inventory management.

Preferred Skills

• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent.
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent.
• Experience in energy efficiency or building retrofit O&M projects.
• Previous O&M coordination or PMO experience in construction, energy, or facility management.
• Experience managing multiple sites in Saudi Arabia.
• Familiarity with SLA management and contractor performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of Saudi building, energy, and facility management requirements.
