Job summary

Egis Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector with 10 years of field experience to join our Riyadh site supervision team. You will perform on-site inspections of HVAC, piping, and service systems to ensure quality, safety, and conformity with project specs and local codes.

You will prepare detailed inspection reports, document defects, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and verify timely corrective actions. Strong English skills and travel between project sites are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mechanical building services.
• Proven expertise in inspecting HVAC systems, plumbing, firefighting, gas and fuel systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, materials and building services.
• Strong proficiency in inspection techniques, quality control and regulatory standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, local Saudi codes).
• Experience with inspection, documentation, and reporting software and tools.
• Understanding of construction sequencing and site operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive on-site mechanical inspections of equipment, systems and components to verify quality, safety and compliance.
• Assess mechanical installations including HVAC systems, piping networks, industrial machinery, plumbing, firefighting, gas and fuel systems.
• Identify, document and report defects and non-conformities during inspections with precision.
• Prepare thorough inspection reports and maintain accurate records of findings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to address issues and implement solutions.
• Verify corrective actions are executed properly and closed on schedule.
• Stay current with evolving standards, regulations and local Saudi codes (ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Participate in project meetings providing technical insights to support objectives.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols during all on-site activities and inspections.
• Mentor junior inspection staff and share knowledge to promote quality and learning.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain organized records and utilize inspection software efficiently.
