Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector for a major data centre project located east of Riyadh. The role ensures mechanical works align with drawings, specs and codes on site.

You will review ITPs, monitor HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and drainage systems, coordinate with contractors, and maintain site records while upholding safety and QA requirements. Saudi Council of Engineers registration is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector on large-scale construction projects.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration – mandatory.
• Proven experience on data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, standards, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality standards
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams on site
• Review method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and material submittals
• Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate site records
• Support quality assurance and health & safety requirements on site
