Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Senior Loss Control Engineer to join our team in Alkhafji, Saudi Arabia. The role reports to the FEED/Technical Leader or PMT Team as applicable and collaborates with technical disciplines to ensure robust safety deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in safety/loss prevention for major Oil & Gas projects, PMC experience preferred, and familiarity with Saudi Aramco Desktop Standards. Construction/commissioning exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience; 6+ years in Safety/Loss prevention for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• PMC experience preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard is beneficial.
• Exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Pre FEED/EPC Preliminary Hazard Assessments are included in FEED/EPC deliverables.
• Check, review and approve all technical safety deliverables by FEED/EPC contractor.
• Review and approve Fire Water network calculation and fire water demand.
• Review and approve Fire & Gas detection systems.
• Review and approve passive fire protection systems.
• Review and approve fire water tanks, pumps, water mist systems.

Job Description

• The Senior Loss Control Engineer will report to the FEED/Technical Leader, if serving in the Core Technical team, or to the Project Head/Senior Project Engineer if serving within the PMT Teams. The Senior Loss Control Engineer will liaise with other discipline personnel in the Technical Core Team or PMT teams as appropriate to his area of service.

Required Experience Criteria in years

• At least Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Safety / Loss prevention for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects; or closely related project types.
• PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.
• Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.

Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.

Minimum Education Qualification Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related Engineering discipline.

The job location will be based on Alkhafji , Saudi Arabia.
