Job summary

Aramco seeks an experienced Accounting Analyst to join the Downstream Finance, Planning & Performance Management function in Saudi Arabia. The role emphasizes impairment assessments, technical accounting positions, and delivering reliable financial insights to senior leadership.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with accounting standards, support close cycles, and guide business stakeholders with practical accounting recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience, preferably with Big 4, large public accounting firms, listed entities or regulated environments.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with clear communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead impairment assessment for goodwill, PPE, RoU assets and investments.
• Develop, review, and challenge impairment models and key assumptions.
• Assess impairment indicators and trigger events per applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare robust impairment documentation including technical papers and audit support.
• Evaluate and advise on accounting treatments for strategic decisions, contracts and transactions.
• Identify accounting risks and propose improvements to governance and controls.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes for technical reporting.
• Provide technical guidance to Finance and Business stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies and governance framework.
