Job summary

Hill International (Middle East) Ltd. seeks a senior HSSE professional to ensure availability and adequacy of HSE provisions for supervision consultants, engineers, and contractors on large-scale projects in Saudi Arabia.

The role involves measuring performance, investigating incidents, and driving corrective actions. Responsibilities include coordinating with PMC and Construction Manager to implement robust HSE systems, liaising with authorities and stakeholders, and reviewing HSE documentation

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent work experience with relevant international certifications.
• 10+ years’ experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience in managing all aspects of HSSE on projects or facilities.
• Knowledge of HSSE laws/regulations and regulatory processes.
• Knowledge of terminology in industrial hygiene, health physics, safety engineering, and environmental compliance.
• Ability to liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability and adequacy of supervision consultants, engineers, and contractors' HSE provisions.
• Measure HSE performance and advise on actions needed for improvement.
• Investigate accidents and underlying causes; advise corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Record and follow up on HSE non-conformances; report to project management.
• Coordinate with PMC and Construction Manager to implement effective HSE systems on sites.
• Liaise with Employer, PMC, Hill International and local enforcing authorities to ensure compliance.
• Review and approve Contractors HSE documents for suitability and conformance.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled HSE audits and inspections and report findings.
