Job summary

Alu Systems in Riyadh seeks an experienced Senior Facade Designer to own facade design activities from IFC review to shop drawing approval, fabrication and site execution. You will coordinate with all project stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role requires 8+ years in façade design/engineering, strong detailing skills and proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM knowledge is highly desirable. You will lead technical development and resolve interface issues across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in façade design/engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with façade systems and detailing.
• Advanced knowledge of curtain wall systems, aluminium & glass, ACP/metal cladding, windows & doors.
• Excellent AutoCAD; strong knowledge of Revit/BIM is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to independently develop and coordinate façade solutions from IFC through fabrication and installation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of facade designs based on IFC drawings, specifications, architectural requirements, and project constraints.
• Develop detailed solutions for curtain wall, aluminium, glass, ACP, metal cladding, windows and doors.
• Review, develop and approve detailed shop drawings prior to submission.

Job description

We re looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Facade Designer with 8 years of experience to join our Technical Department in Riyadh You ll take ownership of facade design activities from IFC review and design development through shop drawing approval fabrication and site execution while coordinating effectively with all project stakeholders

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of facade designs based on IFC drawings specifications architectural requirements and project constraints
• Develop detailed practical solutions for curtain wall aluminium glass ACP metal cladding windows amp doors and other facade systems
• Review develop and approve detailed shop drawings prior to consultant contractor submission
• Take ownership of design coordination and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate closely with consultants contractors architects structural engineers system suppliers factory and site teams
• Attend technical and coordination meetings and provide clear technical solutions and recommendations
• Review consultant comments and ensure timely incorporation of required revisions
• Verify facade details interfaces fixing methods profiles brackets glass gaskets sealants and structural connections
• Review and verify Material Take-Offs MTO and material requirements
• Oversee the preparation of fabrication drawings cutting lists and production documentation
• Develop and review installation drawings and site technical details
• Provide technical guidance and support to fabrication and installation teams
• Identify design risks clashes and constructability issues early and propose effective solutions
• Support the Technical Department in maintaining design quality accuracy and project deadlines

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in façade design / engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with façade systems and technical detailing
• Advanced knowledge of curtain wall systems, aluminium & glass, ACP / metal cladding, windows & doors, and façade engineering & detailing
• Excellent command of AutoCAD; strong knowledge of Revit / BIM is highly desirable
• Proven ability to independently develop and coordinate façade solutions from IFC through fabrication and installation
• Strong understanding of façade materials, profiles, brackets, fixings, glass specifications, gaskets, sealants, and structural interfaces
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, suppliers, factory, and site teams
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with minimal supervision
