Job summary

Almarai is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and asset management across the food manufacturing operations. The role focuses on implementing a total preventive maintenance system to ensure operational readiness and adherence to budgets and performance targets.

The successful candidate will bring 7+ years of engineering management experience in the food industry, with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and knowledge of automation and control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or UK-standard HND/HNC.
• 7+ years engineering management experience in the food industry with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and operations.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering plant, equipment and control systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in driving continuous improvement (Lean, TPM).
• Experience in budget management and cost control.
• Strong safety leadership, decision-making and risk management.

The Role / Opportunity

Maintain company assets by implementing a total preventative Maintenance system that ensures complete operational availability to all departments as and when the business requires. He is to comply with agreed standards, budget and provisions as set down by the business, and meet management performance Targets as set by the business, ensuring all Plant and equipment is in an optimal condition at all times and complying with standards and costs. He is to

ensure there are adequate provision of skills, labour and guidance across all departments so as to

meet the business requirements.

The candidate must meet the following criteria to be shortlisted:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an HND or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (UK standards).
• A minimum of 7 years of engineering management experience in a similar role within the food industry, with proven team leadership and people management skills in a multi-skilled workforce.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and operations.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering plant, equipment and control systems, including the research, design and development of automated equipment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Experience in budget management and cost control.
• Strong safety leadership, decision-making and risk management skills.
