Senior Core Network Performance Engineer

Job summary

Tangent International is seeking a Performance Core Engineer for a 12-month renewable contract in Saudi Arabia. You will own core network telemetry, traffic analysis, bottleneck resolution, and upgrade impact evaluations across CS Core, PS/Packet Core, EPC, and IMS environments.

The role requires 5+ years of telecom core network experience, on-site availability, and strong RCA capabilities, with direct liaison to senior recruitment executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in telecommunications core network performance.
• Strong operational expertise in CS Core, PS/Packet Core, EPC and/or IMS architectures.
• Proficient with core network KPIs, counters, and monitoring tools.
• Experience in root-cause analysis and optimization recommendations.
• Solid troubleshooting methods for signaling and traffic engineering.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder communication skills.
• Legal work authorization and on-site availability in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Core Network KPIs, traffic trends, signaling performance, and quality indicators.
• Identify bottlenecks, degradations, and optimization opportunities across networks.
• Analyze network counters, bearers, traffic patterns and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Core Operations to troubleshoot incidents and implement improvements.
• Support RCA, incident management, and proactive core network optimization.
• Evaluate impact of changes and upgrades before production deployment.
• Develop detailed performance reports and technical recommendations for stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, baselines, and incident logs.
