The role is ideal for a telecom core network specialist with deep expertise in CS Core, signaling, routing, and next-generation network technologies including IMS and 5G Standalone (SA) Core.

Detailed Job Description

As a Senior Core Network Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, integrating, and supporting critical core network elements across a live telecom environment. You will work on network modifications, signaling configuration, routing optimization, capacity management, and performance enhancement activities while ensuring service continuity and network stability. The role requires strong expertise in CS Core platforms, signaling protocols, subscriber databases, and end-to-end telecom service routing. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and vendor teams to execute network changes, validate configurations, and support technology evolution initiatives including IMS and 5G Core deployments. Key Responsibilities

• Integrate, configure, and modify Core Network nodes within a live production environment
• Implement network designs and end-to-end signaling and routing solutions
• Configure and support Diameter, SIP, and SIGTRAN signaling platforms
• Prepare, validate, review, and execute core network configuration scripts and design templates
• Configure and maintain Mobile Switching Center (MSC), Mobile Softswitch (MSS), Media Gateway (MGW), Home Location Register (HLR), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), Gateway Mobile Switching Center (GMSC), and Signal Transfer Point (STP/DSC) platforms
• Implement and optimize routing tables including A-Number, B-Number, IMSI, and Global Title Translation (GTT) analysis
• Configure Intelligent Network (IN) triggering and Mobile Number Portability (MNP) services
• Support Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB) implementation and troubleshooting
• Assist in IMS and 5G Standalone (SA) Core integration activities
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity utilization, and service KPIs
• Conduct configuration audits and ensure compliance with approved network designs
• Configure subscriber services within HLR/HSS platforms, including APNs, EsmContext, and EsmProfile management
• Support incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of core network issues

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive experience in Circuit Switched (CS) Core Network engineering and operations
• Strong expertise with MSC/MSS, MGW, HLR, and HSS platforms
• Deep understanding of telecom signaling protocols and routing architectures
• Hands-on experience with SIGTRAN including M2PA and M3UA protocols
• Strong knowledge of Diameter and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
• Experience implementing and supporting Intelligent Network (IN) services
• Mobile Number Portability (MNP) configuration and management experience
• Proven experience performing changes and integrations within live telecom networks
• Strong understanding of end-to-end mobile core network routing and call flow analysis
• Experience in network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
